Though it certainly is down right cold outside, and I apologize on behalf of our beautiful state to several of our new South Side families who are experiencing their first Michigan winter, this one's a doozy, you have to admit, it certainly is beautiful outside. Paster Chad, Leo's dad, came to our chapel time on Ash Wednesday to remind us that it is during this time in our Christian calendar that God is preparing our hearts and "cleaning us up" in preparation for Easter. He washes us as white and as pure as the snow that blankets the breathtaking Michigan landscape. What a beautiful, life-changing reminder as you're huffing this stuff off your driveway and walkway for the 78th time this winter! ;)
It's Makers Week time!! Your child has been reminded that we are loved by and we serve a CreATivE God! We are image bearers of our creative God. As a place of learning, it is our responsibility to celebrate and develop this gift of creativity, innovation and complex collaborative abilities. For the next four mornings, your child will engage in learning in a non-traditional model. You are welcome to click here view the slides that were used to introduce our projects to our students. Look at the excitement on their faces! These kids are eager to learn and we appreciate deeply the opportunity to lead them through this learning.

The Holland Area Newcomers' 64th Annual Dutch Costume Resale starts the week of March 9th, 2015 at the Holland Civic Center. We are sending this information out to area schools, as this is a community service event primarily for children participating in the Tulip Time Parades. http://www.
Moms In Prayer:
Invites you to join with us as we pray for our children. We meet Monday mornings from 8:15am-9:20ish at Sonya Snyder's house (162 West 37th Street). It is such a blessing to pray with other mothers, and to praise God together for the good gifts He gives. Please feel to give it a try when it works for your schedule!
