Building Bonds to Build Learning

One of the cornerstones of a high-quality education is built upon a solid, true and deep relationship between student and teacher. This picture says it all. The past two weeks, it's been beautiful to watch as students' hearts are opening and falling right into the open arms of their loving teachers. Bonds are forming and strengthening. Trust and understanding is developing. Surely, the presence of the Lord is in this place!

Walk-A-Thon Collection
Please keep Monday, the 15th of September on your calendar. This is the date that our money collected for the walk-a-thon is due to come back to school. The money raised will be allocated to support our reading workshop program, purchase additional math manipulatives, as well as provide guest speakers and enriching learning experiences for our children. Thank you for the extra effort and organization that goes into pulling this off at home!

Preschool Happenings

• Enrichment classes have started and we still have room if families are interested. Check out the website for more information and registration.

• Early Childhood Tailgate Event - September 12 - starting at 5:30.  RSVP to your child's teacher. This is a free event for our PreK and K families at Holland Christian. Games, Food, Fellowship, and Football!  Go Maroons!!!

• Walk A Thon - preschool families are invited to join the elementary community on Wed. Sept. 17 @ 1:00 - High School Track. Preschool will be having their own version of the WAT on Thursday - Sept. 18 during the morning hour.

Moms in Prayer 
Mom's In Prayer invites you to join with us as we pray for our children. We meet Monday mornings from 8:15-9:20ish at Sonya Snyder's house (162 West 37th Street). It is such a blessing to pray with other mothers, and to praise God together for the good gifts He gives. Please feel free to give it a try when it works for your schedule! Our first meeting is September 15th. If needed, childcare will be provided. Questions?  Call or message Sonya at 283-8019.

Kids' Stuff Resale 
Kids' Stuff Re-Sale coming to HCHS on Saturday, Sept 20 from 9:00 – 12:00. Included in the sale will be fall/winter infant and children's clothing—girls' sizes up to 16 and boys' sizes up to 18; maternity clothes; baby equipment (cribs, strollers, etc.); toys; athletic gear; Halloween costumes; and more! If you are interested in being a seller at this sale, please contact kidsale@hollandchristian.org or Tricia Koops at the Administration Office.

Volunteers needed: Fri. 3:30- 5:30 (set up) Sat. 9:30 -11:00 or 11:00-12:30ish (sale & clean up)
